EEM professional development and new staff

ÉEM offers its congratulations to Robert Cole, our Director, Sustainable Business and Communities who has earned the highly respected designation of Certified Professional Facilitator from the International Association of Facilitators  (IAF-CPF) after successfully completing an intensive competency evaluation at the IAF in Halifax. Facilitation has become a crucial tool for building consensus, achieving strategic alignment within organisations and building effective partnerships between organisations and their stakeholders. The IAF-CPF designation was created in 1998 to recognize leaders in the profession.  With this accreditation, Robert joins a select group of 600 IAF-CPFs worldwide.

We also wish to applaud Joelle Levesque, Consultant, Communities and EHS Compliance, who recently became a Certified Public Participation Practitioner with the International Association for Public Participation (IAP2) following a rigorous week of training.

And ÉEM extends a warm welcome to Simon Pelletier, LL.B., M.Env. who joins ÉEM after two years of running a consulting business in the Sherbrooke area.  Simon has a law degree as well as a Masters in Environmental Management.  He is currently completing a graduate program in Community Relations, offered by the University of Queensland, Australia.  At ÉEM, Simon will participate in environmental management issues as well as stakeholder engagement and community consultation activities.

Best wishes are extended to Christian Matossian, who, after 5 years with ÉEM, will be pursuing his interest in community engagement strategies as Senior Manager, Community Relations, with Barrick Gold.
