Development of a sustainable development report for a mining company

Summary

EEM developed the Sustainable Development Report for a Canadian iron ore mining company operating in Quebec and Newfoundland & Labrador.

Approach and Solution

While working with the company’s Vice-President of Environment and Social Responsibility, EEM developed the report from the initial storyboarding to the review of the printer-ready proofs in French and English. EEM requested and compiled data for the performance indicators and developed project narratives based on interviews conducted with the company’s representatives. Because the report was intended primarily for the employees and the local community, it needed to be informative but succinct. The report also had to meet the reporting requirements of the parent company operating abroad.

Results

EEM delivered the report on schedule. The work was complimented internally both for its quality and its efficient use of operational employees’ time.
