EEM helped a municipal property management organization to register an energy efficiency project as a GHG emissions reduction project in order to sell voluntary carbon credits.

Approach and Solution

EEM worked with a municipal property manager working on energy efficiency projects to register and sell carbon credits for the project. The mandate involved choosing an appropriate standard and register for the project - taking account of market demand and client needs. EEM then developed the project plan and reduction report in compliance with the selected standard and register, allowing for the verification and sale of emission reduction credits.

Results

Registration and selling of carbon credits contributed to the financial feasibility of energy efficiency measures implementation.
