Job opportunity – hydrologist or hydrogeologist at EEM

ÉEM currently has a vacancy for a hydrologist or hydrogeologist.

Responsibilities:

Provide consulting services in water resource assessment and the preparation of water budgets and management of surface and groundwater for mining and other resources development projects, including: the study of groundwater and the influence of human activities on these, monitoring groundwater evolution and quality, and the study of the impact of development projects on groundwater and surface water. The successful candidate will work in a small company where s/he will become the hub of projects and studies on water management.

Job requirements:

Essential: Bilingual (French and English) spoken and written

Essential:  Formal education in hydrology or hydrogeology

Essential: Minimum 10 years experience in hydrology/hydrogeology and environmental impact assessment

Important: Ability to deal directly with clients

Important: Project management competencies (cost management, time management, client management, etc.)

Important: Ability to work both in a team and independently, with minimal supervision

Important: Professional, reliable, good attitude, good judgement, attention to detail, autonomous, flexible, adaptable, creative, self motivated and resilient to changing circumstances

Mobility: International travel (maximum 3 weeks at a time).
