EEM conducting ESIA for a Plan Nord mining project
Nemaska Lithium is proposing to construct and operate a lithium mine roughly 280 km northwest of Chibougamau, Quebec, known as the Whabouchi Project. EEM was commissioned by Nemaska Lithium earlier this quarter to prepare the Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) for the project. The assessment will identify and document the potential effects of the project’s pre-construction, construction, operation, and decommissioning phases and recommend measures to mitigate, manage and monitor those effects.
