Green Marine is an environmental certification program that offers a detailed framework for maritime companies to first establish and then reduce their environmental footprint.
Program participants, which include ship owners, ports, seaway corporations, terminals and shipyards, must complete a detailed annual self-evaluation for a series of performance indicators on a 1-to-5 scale. Level 1 constitutes the monitoring of regulations, while level 5 indicates leadership and excellence. In order to maintain their Green Marine certification, participants must demonstrate year-over-year improvement in performance, agree to have their results made public every year and have their self-evaluation reports independently verified every two years.
EEM is pleased to announce that we are accredited to provide verification services for the Green Marine environmental certification program. If you need more information, contact Ross Szwec (firstname.lastname@example.org).
