Eric Muller
Eric Muller has a PhD in biology and over 40 years of consulting experience, providing a range of environmental services to the public and private sectors, in Canada and in other countries. Since 1979 he has been a principal of TERRA Geographical Studies Inc.
He has held academic positions and taught at various universities in Canada and the United States (e.g. Johns Hopkins University, University of Delaware, Trent University). Eric has been an expert witness before the National Energy Board, the Ontario Energy Board, the Joint Board (under the Ontario Consolidated Hearings Act), and the Ontario Municipal Board. He is fluently French-English bilingual.
Building on his background in biology and geography, Eric’s work has primarily dealt with the:
- Conservation of biological systems.
- Environmental impact assessments.
- Environmental guidelines.
- Standards development and environmental reviews.
Since 2013 he has been in charge of the CBG (Compagnie des Bauxites de Guinée) Expansion Project EIA and, in particular, was the author of the Biological Impact Assessment as well as the subsequent Biodiversity Management System.
Eric was EEM’s principal point of contact for the IFC (International Finance Corporation) and OPIC (Overseas Private Investment Corporation) on environmental and biodiversity matters associated with the CBG Expansion Project.
